On Saturday (after getting a fair amount of reading done), I went to a games party at the house of a guy named Kevin who lives in SE Portland. Eireen (formally known as Bonnianne) was there and it was nice to see her. No, we just had to do a persuasive memo, to convince a Federal District Court that there was no federal jurisdiction. Actually, it's an argument in support of a motion to dismiss. We didn't have to do research; Johanson gave us three persuasive cases from other circuits.

Today we get our appellate brief assignment. For that we will have to do the whole thing: research, writing, and oral arguments.
