Oh, I do love this tale. It's like reading a good historical novel with characters we are familiar with, but one that gives us insights into them which have never been mentioned before.

Holmes is like Bernie Wooster, if Bernie had an ounce of self-awareness. Or brains.

Love the gothic hall with its miserable servants. Of course Holmes Hall would be so put upon.
