Ahahahah, Holmes obviously partook of the cocaine solution prior to arriving: he acts as if he's as high as a kite. Oh, yes, wait, that's how RDJ pretty much portrayed him in the new movie. Oh, dear me... :)

Holmes (And RDJ) has that residual "I'm an addict" flush,
whether he's high or not!

That's true, but I recently saw 2 episodes where Holmes is obviously high and being as congenial and energetic (as much as he can be, at least) as in this part, so my first thought was exactly my comment. His whole dialogue with the help here is too funny for words.

This story grows increasingly epic with every highly-anticipated chapter. I love how Holmes is being so completely ridiculous to these poor, long-suffering servants. And poor Watson, Holmes is really just torturing him, embarrassing him every way that he can think of and still being so damn NICE about it. Very nice addition.

This is why Holmes has so much in common with those genius,
aristocratic, and very mannerly villains in Bond films!

Oh my, I love this story! Your Watson voice is just the best I've read, excepting Doyle's. :D

I'm curious to see where this is headed, so I urge you! Get a move on! I love it so. Also, I would be willing to beta if you need any assistance.
