Overall Summary: Mary Sue Fangirl has found a way to abduct her 15 favorite jrockers and make them do whatever she wants. So what does she do? She puts them in teams and makes them compete against each other in a variety of ridiculous challenges, voting members off each night until only one winner remains. The question is though, what exactly does the winner win???
Notes: I was super amused because after I wrote this, Daigo was on a show where he actually DID go white water rafting...and reacted basically the same way I had written in this.
Part One: The Gathering Part Two: Meet the Cast Part Three: The Get to Know Your Teammates Obstacle Course Part Four: American Football The next morning, the jrockers awoke to find their jumpsuits had been replaced with thicker, more padded ones. There were helmets with their names on them next to the jumpsuits as well.
“Oh noooooooooooooo,” Chacha didn’t like where this was going.
After another breakfast prepared by You and Shinpei, Mary arrived and led the 12 remaining team members through the wooded area. This time, she followed a different path. As the sound of rushing water grew steadily louder and louder, they cleared a bend and Challenge #3 came into view.
“White Water Rafting!” Mary said, gesturing wide. A few of the men groaned and she put her hands on her hips. “Oh, come on! It’ll be fun!”
As it turned out, some of the men did have fun. Others…not so much. Amazingly, none of them had ever been white water rafting before. Mary had her helpers demonstrate a few techniques, but it didn’t help much.
Once all of the jrockers were in their boats and resting on shore with oars in hand, Mary announced over her loudspeaker. “Ok! The winning team will be the first team across the finish line with all members of your team in your boat! On your mark! Get set! GO!”
All three rafts pushed away from the shore and immediately shot off down the river as they were caught in the current. It didn’t take long for the teams to start hitting the really big rapids and subsequently start freaking the hell out.
“WE’RE GOING TO DIE!” Chacha screamed. “GOD HELP US! WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!”
Gackt - who was in the seat behind his lead guitarist - slapped him upside the helmet. “SUCK IT UP, CHA! WE’RE GOING TO BE FINE!”
His statement was emphasized by a scream as Hyde fell out of the blue team boat. He was thrashing and flailing as his life vest barely held his head above the water. The rest of the blue team were trying desperately to turn their boat around and go back for him, but they ran sideways into a large rock, sending the rest of the team into the water as well.
Jon, Akihide, and Shinpei - meanwhile - were yelling at Daigo for getting water in the boat as he swung his oar around haphazardly, narrowly missing cracking it upside Akihide’s head.
“IF WE SURVIVE THIS,” Akihide yelled, “I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!”
Daigo responded by falling out of the boat. Luckily for him, Shinpei and Jon grabbed the back of his vest and pulled him right back into the boat before he was out of reach.
The green team was nearing the finish line, but when they heard the water-logged screams of the blue team and saw an empty blue-trimmed boat drift by upside-down, they decided to go back and help. Using Gackt’s hulking bicep muscles and the combined efforts of U:zo and Miyavi (Chacha was curled up on the bottom of the boat in the fetal position), they managed to maneuver their boat enough to pick up the overboard blue team.
The red team was so busy yelling at one another to panic about the rapids and made it easily over the finish line. Right behind them was the empty blue team boat and then the weighted-down green team boat.
RED - 20
BLUE - 10
GREEN - 15
Mary blew a whistle and the helpers rushed out to help the boats to the shore. Half of the men were out of their boats and wading to shore, desperate to get out of the river as fast as possible. Once they reached the dry land, they all immediately collapsed on the ground and didn’t move for a good 20 minutes.
“I want to go home,” Jon said after awhile.
“Oh nonsense!” Mary said as she approached the group. “Wasn’t that fun?!” A few of the men groaned and Gackt looked for something to throw at her. “Now if you’ll all make your way back to the house, we’ll have lunch and a break before Challenge #4 this afternoon.”
Reluctantly dragging themselves to their feet, the jrockers headed back to the house where they found Yasu, Shinya, and Takumi - who was now wearing a t-shirt with Gackt’s picture on it - were cooking hot dogs and burgers on the grill.
“Where are we? America?” Ju-ken asked, sitting down at a table with his hot dog.
“That’s a good question,” Jun-ji nodded. “Where ARE we? This doesn’t look like any part of Japan that I’ve ever been to.” The rest of the men murmured their agreements, but no answers were forthcoming.
After lunch, they all changed and gathered in the living room to find out what the afternoon challenge would be.
“WHERE did you get that shirt?!” Gackt asked Takumi, grimacing at the likeness of his face plastered across the guitarist’s chest.
“I woke up this morning and there it was!” Takumi answered, straightening his shirt and running a hand lovingly across the picture on it. “Isn’t it great?!” Gackt rolled his eyes.
“Good afternoon, mates!” a voice called from the top of the stairs. Everyone stopped talking and looked up at the landing, mouths agape. There stood Jun-ji…in full khaki gear - shorts, button-up shirt, hiking boots, and a brimmed hat with one side tacked up.
“…the hell?!” You exclaimed.
“You look like the Crocodile Hunter, dawg!” Jon snorted.
“I’ll have you know,” Jun-ji said, coming down the stairs, “that I happened to charm the nature of Challenge #4 out of Mary during lunch.”
“That or I just told him,” Mary came in through one of the doors and winked. “So would you care to explain the next challenge then, Jun-ji?”
“Certainly!” he adjusted his hat and stood in the front of the room.
