Overall Summary: Mary Sue Fangirl has found a way to abduct her 15 favorite jrockers and make them do whatever she wants. So what does she do? She puts them in teams and makes them compete against each other in a variety of ridiculous challenges, voting members off each night until only one winner remains. The question is though, what exactly does the winner win???
Notes: I always wondered if I should've put in more about the guys protesting having to do all this stuff, but where's the fun in that?
Part One: The Gathering Part Two: Meet the Cast Part Three: The Get to Know Your Teammates Obstacle Course While they ate their lunches, the teams played a game of “How well do you know your teammates?” All of the teams did fairly well until they got to the third round. No one on the red team knew what Jon’s band was called and no one on the blue team could name a single song by Siam Shade. Luckily, Jun-ji wasn’t offended because frankly, neither could he. Green team was stuck because none of them could remember Takumi’s last name.
Takumi tried not to cry. “And to think, I knew exactly how many awards you’ve won!” he sobbed to Gackt. Gackt just rolled his eyes.
“You know,” You mused after lunch, “this isn’t so bad. Now that we’ve gotten to relax and have some fun…you have to admit, this is a nice break from studios and work and deadlines.” Everyone, even Gackt, had to agree.
While the jrockers chatted, Mary sat off to the side, listening intently and having the time of her life. This was the greatest plot she’d ever devised!
“Hey, what are they doing?” Daigo pointed to the helpers who were busy painting lines on the field.
“Setting up your second challenge for today,” Mary answered. “American football.”
“AWESOME!” Miyavi jumped to his feet and ran flailing onto the field.
“Yo, I’m all over football, but how will that work, dawg?” Jon asked. “Three teams with the wrong number of players? That be cray-cray.”
“And I don’t know the first thing about playing American football…” Yasu looked nervous as the majority of the group nodded in agreement.
“This is special football,” Mary explained. “All three teams will play at one time.” She gestured to the field where the helpers had now set up three end zones in a large triangle-painted area. Miyavi was running in smaller and smaller circles around the area marked in his team’s color until he spun around in place and fell over.
“Now, Jon, if you would kindly explain to the others the rules of play, that would be fantastic,” Mary asked. Jon was more than happy to comply, though hardly any of the other men understood a word he said.
Once the explanation was finished and everyone was thoroughly confused, Mary explained the special rules for three team play. After that, they helped each other into some padding and had five minutes to discuss strategy. Jon told his team to concentrate on tackling and leave the ball-handling to him. Having watched a few American football games on TV, Ju-ken told his team the same thing. No one on the green team knew the first thing about football, so they decided that U:zo - being the biggest amongst them - should get the ball.
As soon as the air horn sounded the start of the game, chaos ensued.
Takumi immediately took off running as fast as he could to tackle Shinya. They may have been about the same height, but Takumi slammed into Shinya and fell to the ground unconscious while Shinya hardly moved an inch.
U:zo amazingly got the ball right away and Hyde took off towards him. Seeing the older man barreling at him with death in his eyes, U:zo shrieked like a little girl, dropped the ball, and ran the other way.
“Dammit!” Gackt yelled. “U:zo, you dumbass!”
Daigo and Miyavi, meanwhile, made a beeline for one another and both ended up on the ground rubbing their heads.
It took several minutes of disorganized running, but the men eventually oriented themselves with the rules and a real game got underway. The blue team did extremely well with Ju-ken’s instructions and an overall strategy for their offensive. The green team would have been at a horrible disadvantage with their lack of good tacklers, but Yasu kept scoring touchdowns for their team instead of his own. Jon slapped Yasu upside the head every time he ran into the wrong end zone, but poor Yasu never did figure out what he was doing wrong.
After the game, everyone stood around panting and rubbing sore muscles and bruises. Most of them had undone the top half of their jumpsuits and left it hanging around their waists, either shirtless or with just a tank top. Mary enjoyed the sight immensely. Especially when they would dump large quantities of water over their heads and shake the drops from their hair in slow motion.
Snapping herself out of her drooling stupor, Mary announced the scores and awarded the points. Red team - 0, blue team - 10, and green team - 5.
RED - 10
BLUE - 10
GREEN - 10
All the men limped back to the house in silence and showered. When they had changed back into their comfortable clothes (read: leather), they came downstairs to find a large dinner waiting for them.
After everything was cleaned up and everyone sat lounging around the living room, Akihide yawned. “I’m ready for bed,” he said. A few of the men nodded in agreement and started to stand to go to their rooms.
“Wait, we have to do that voting thing,” Gackt said as Takumi put a little circle band-aid on a cut the singer had gotten while playing football.
“Quite right!” Mary said, coming into the room from God-knows-where. “Follow me!”
They went through yet another previously-locked door and into a darkly lit room with fifteen chairs arranged in a circle. The rock stars sat down with their teams and Mary stood behind a podium. On the podium sat a vase with three red roses in it.
Mary’s face was serious as she spoke. “In a few moments, you’ll each go through the door marked with your color and cast your vote for which team member you would not like to participate in the challenges after today. Think long about your vote this evening. Keep in mind that just because someone may seem to have a disadvantage now - such as being too short or too slow - it may come in handy in a later challenge.” She gave instructions on how to cast their votes and after a few minutes of quiet contemplation, each man went through the door marked for their team and did so.
When all votes had been cast, one of Mary’s helpers - now dressed in a tuxedo - brought her an envelope on a silver tray. She read the contents of the envelope to herself and placed it on the podium. “Your teammates have voted,” she said. “The following players will not be returning for the challenges tomorrow.”
She took a rose from the vase on the podium and walked slowly around the circle. Stopping in front of the red team, she said, “Yasu.” Yasu took the rose, wiped away a tear, and left the room. Taking another rose, Mary walked to the blue team. “Shinya.” He took his rose, bowed, and left as well.
Hyde looked relieved.
Taking the final rose to the green team, Mary said, “Takumi.” Takumi let out a loud sob and looked sadly at Gackt - who just shrugged. Taking his rose, Takumi left the room, shoulders hunched.
After he’d left, Mary asked, “Anyone care to say why they voted the way they did?”
Shinpei spoke first. “Yasu is great, but Breakerz have to stick together.” Akihide and Daigo nodded in agreement. “And Jon was really helpful today.” The American wiped a tear from the corner of his eye and totally bro-hugged Daigo.
“Shinya freaks me out,” Hyde said, bringing his lighter up to light his cigarette.
Gackt cleared his throat. “I feel a bit bad about it now, but Takumi is just so annoying!” His team agreed. “I stick by my decision though.”
“Now remember,” Mary said, “Yasu, Shinya, and Takumi will still be around the house and the whole team will be reunited for the final challenge.” She closed out the ceremony and the men filed out of the room.
Hyde found Takumi curled up on one of the couches, clutching a pillow to his chest and crying. “Tough break, kid,” the older man said. “I would’ve voted for Miyavi. You can’t trust him to not spaz out and run screaming into the hills.”
“I voted for Hyde,” You was telling Shinya. “He’s a bit of a jerk.”
Shinya shrugged, “I voted for myself anyways.”
Daigo was busy trying to convince Yasu that he hadn’t voted for him. (He had.)
