I bumped into a guy on a hiking trail in Hawai'i once who heard me mention Cleveland and actually knew of Oberlin (friend of his went there) while my companions did not. Small world.

I keep meaning to spend more time downtown before I graduate. Cleveland is a pretty city.

I'm glad you're giving the old salt town some love. Cleveland needs it. I went home and I was shocked by how things had gotten worse--like on Euclid Ave. and Prospect. Shaker seemed as surreal as ever... perfect and green... but everything between it and downtown looked like a war zone.

How much did I make? NOTHING. Like $300 a week and that was doing 50+ miles a day!

Hi there,

If you're from Ohio, are you familiar with the neighbourhood of Over the Rhine?

I used to live in Cincinnati. The Over-the-Rhine neighborhood looks and feels just like some place in New York City, not Ohio. Rows and rows of five and six story 19th century brick tennements. Some are occupied and some are not.

At least that was 10 years ago. I don't know what it's like now. Comming from Cleveland, Cincinnati over all feels more like the deep south with it's unique cuisine and individual feel. Other than being located in Ohio, Cincinnati has nothing in common with Cleveland at all!

Um Susan. I may be a little slow, but like with many things we talked about back in high school, you might need to explain to me the humor here! Does this say Albany is screwing over NYC in much the same way Columbus is screwing over Cleveland?
