Today is the day
It's election day in America and by tonight or tomorrow we will know who our next president will be. This has been a long, arduous journey and a tempestuous one. There will be a guaranteed transition next year, what type is the issue. Be a smooth and seamless or rocky and contentious, hope is for the former. We shall see. -
Election day concerns.
I have been a registered voter since 1976, the year I became eligible. In all that time and in every election the process has been conducted with little fear and trepidation. New beginnings.
It's been awhile since I posted here. A lot has happened in that span, more on that in the future. I'm here today to report that my house burned down. I'm fine, but right now I am in recovery mode. Promising start, ugly finish. Bum pain in my left shoulder, my throwing arm, had me concerned about bowling last night. But I decided to carry on with my game. Started out great with a 154 in the first game. Second game netted a 123 which nice although under my 138 average. Then the third game. No strikes, no spares, no nothing. Well it was a pretty fair night tonight on the lanes. Bowled 112, 131, and 147 for a 390 series. Team only one 1 game tonight. Ran into another high average team and got beaten. Next week's another week, hoping for better.INTREPID BOWLER
Well this was the last league night on the lanes and unlike in the past, it was a good night. Entered tonight with a 138 average and bowled scores of 145, 142, and 150 for a 437 series. Whatever happened to the Christmas joy.
Of a beaming child unwrapping a new toy.
As we gather to celebrate the Christ child born.
We so amid strife, turmoil, hatred, and scorn.
But I do have a wish to give across this land.

Frustrating night tonight on the lanes. Scores of 139, 121, and 131(391 series). Could have topped my average of 139 in all three games but it seems that I have trouble in the 9th and tenth frames. Well it was a wonderful night personally on the lanes last night. Bowled scores of 175,162, and 150 for 487 series. With a 138 average going in, that meant no quarter given up last night.
