Time for a restful break and a bit of Bond

Back from a few lovely relaxing days in Cornwall. It was the first time I’ve been back since early this year so it was marvellous to soak up my hometown and complete relaxation. My parents wanted to see me and I wanted to see them and Anthony always enjoys Cornwall. We had a good few days there.

Briefly, we got to see my Little Sister and her ( Read more... )

I'm glad you and Anthony had such a relaxing and pleasant time in Cornwall! From what I've seen, it is a county that is beautiful no matter what the weather! :-)

I've got to say that your Cornish cold probably is allergies. There have been a few times when I was sure I had a cold and it turned out to be a bad attack of allergies. Before your next visit, you might want to try taking allergy medication (or borrow some from your mom) and keep away from both cats if you can. And I've got to say that Anthony needs to use some reverse psychology on Amber. Cats have a nasty habit of going to the person who wants to see them the least. I've seen it time and time again. However, if Anthony pretends that he wants to see Amber then Amber might run away. *g*

I'm glad you enjoyed SPECTRE! I can't wait to see it myself, though I've been suspecting that it won't be quite as good as Skyfall. However, as sad as this will sound, I've been looking forward to SPECTRE because I'm hoping a tiny bit of Mallory fic might come out of it as there's so ( ... )

Yeah I sadly am most likely allergic to cats - for the moment, my mum was and now isn't so maybe I won't be either. It won't stop me from petting them though lol. I'll just take the allergy pills.

Spectre was fun and Mallory got plenty to do as well. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hi again! I saw Spectre on Saturday and have been meaning to tell you since then! *g* I also thought it was a lot of fun and was happy with the Mallory scenes, but I agree with you about Casino Royale and Skyfall being better. Like Quantum of Solace, I found the script wandered a bit. And this is just my opinion, but the films where Bond goes on personal/revenge missions (e.g. Licence to Kill, Quantum of Solace) never seem to work out as well. Lastly, there seemed to be a lot of build up in the trailers as to Bond's personal connection to SPECTRE that didn't quite measure up in the film. Don't get me wrong. I like Christopher Waltz as Blofeld, but his motivations seemed weak. He spent a lot of time and energy on something that doesn't seem that significant -- not with all the build up we were getting, anyway.

Glad you found it fun, I did too. Yeah, it didn't really measure up to Casino or Skyfall. But it was enjoyable and the actors all did well with what they had. Hoping to be inspired to write, got a couple of ideas :)
