I gave a new girl a ride home from school and took a different route home. My car had been riding on empty for miles so I knew I desperately needed to find a gas station. To my luck, I found one once I reached my main  thoroughfare. The gas station was well lit, but located on a darker road. I paid the cashier and started pumping my gas. ( Read more... )

My two roommates who are moving out and living together next year have been browsing around pet stores and websites to find the perfect dog for their new apartment (which I like to call the Taj Mahal). Exaggeration. I'm far from homeless, but my mom is moving out of our home uptown this weekend. I have a lot of emotional attachment and memories to that house, but I'm not phased by this; probably because we're not moving out of city, but in the apartment directly above ours! I couldn't help but feel guilty as I was typing an essay the other night for a scholarship I'm applying for. The scholarship was for broadcast majors; they basically would give me financial aid in order for me to "get the best education to pursue a career in broadcast.
