Shey, you kick ass and I'm coming up north to see you guys in the Fall. I bypassed my therapist and got on hormones myself. I haven't got a prescription yet but I've been in therapy for four months so it should be coming soon... They were awesome for me and I know you're really looking forward to getting on T.
I think what you said to your friend really does make sense. I know you changed from when I first met you to when I left school and I'm sure you have changed a lot in the year since I last saw you. I personally don't think someone would mistake you for a girl but I understand that you still have concern about people perceiving you in ways that you don't want to be perceived, I do too.
Don't let anyone put you in a box. Although it's angrier than I'd it to have been, I wrote a post about a month ago because I felt that one of my friends (another mtf) was writing me into a box. My point was that it's not about choosing to be a guy or be a tgirl, it's about being myself, whatever that is. Choosing a trans-identification for me

Oh Shey. This is my hate mail. Not really, I completely support your decision. If I was in your place, I wouldn't march either. Not that I don't support women's rights, but well.. you know. I <3 you, darling.
I know you don't know me, but your friend Tamara pointed me to this post. I wrote a piece around my evolving relationship to women space (I've been on HRT for a year and half now and I pass full time). It's a complicated affair for sure
