Shey, you kick ass and I'm coming up north to see you guys in the Fall. I bypassed my therapist and got on hormones myself. I haven't got a prescription yet but I've been in therapy for four months so it should be coming soon... They were awesome for me and I know you're really looking forward to getting on T.
I think what you said to your friend really does make sense. I know you changed from when I first met you to when I left school and I'm sure you have changed a lot in the year since I last saw you. I personally don't think someone would mistake you for a girl but I understand that you still have concern about people perceiving you in ways that you don't want to be perceived, I do too.
Don't let anyone put you in a box. Although it's angrier than I'd it to have been, I wrote a post about a month ago because I felt that one of my friends (another mtf) was writing me into a box. My point was that it's not about choosing to be a guy or be a tgirl, it's about being myself, whatever that is. Choosing a trans-identification for me means a conscious choice, I believe that identifying as a non-trans girl would be just as valid. Being a feminist guy is a wonderful thing to be and the world needs more allies for all minorities. I do understand your reservations and I think how you explained your feelings to your friend was done very nicely. Sometimes I have less tact and insight :-)
I talked to my friend Emily from Western online and she said that you're working at Value Village now, cool. How's everything going? Like Emily (ewankles) and my friend Sän (pussinboots/rock_my_face) from the 'ham you have disappeared for awhile. I have too many ppl on my friends list so I haven't caught the entries that you made and I was like "omg! he's still alive" :-) It's good to have you back. I can't wait to hang out with all you guys again this Fall.
Beautiful green things make me sleepy... (props to hiptzaddiq) goodnight.
