Okay, start from the beginning~
The title of the fic is Never Say Never, which is in all likelihood a reference to Justin Beiber, but I choose to believe that author is referencing the Dangan Rompa anime opening theme of the same title.
It had been 2 years since the Final Battle with Deep Blue. Before the aliens left, they formed a truce with the mews, saying that they wouldn't attack anymore if they simply handed over the mew aqua. Ever since then, the aliens haven't come back.
Since you don’t explain what Deep Blue is, I’m going to assume they fought an evil ocean that was controlled by aliens, until the main characters gave said aliens a shiny Mew. Makes sense to me.

I guess as a brief sum-up right now; the aliens used to live on Earth long before humans, but they left because they couldn't handle a couple of earthquakes and eruptions one too many natural disasters nearly wiped out their entire species. years later they wanted to reclaim the earth, especially since upon escaping the earth, they ended up on an even worse planet

A Kisshichigo fic with Masaya bashing! This is reminding me why I left the TMM fandom years ago... (well that and other anime took over)
Good to see the fandom hasn't changed much in that regards.
(A.N. I wanna throw up, I never liked him, and he was just too perfect…).
This was pretty much the first sign that this fic was going to suck. If you feel that you HAVE to interrupt the story to comment on how much you hate a character, then I don't count on you to be decent enough to write about that character in anything but a negative light.
And I don't care how well thought out the plot is or how well you characterise everyone else, bashing just one character instantly ruins a story. Particularly if you're writing from the perspective of a character who is meant to like that character.
She only hoped it wasn't about the people that left 2 years ago…

Ah, I see. I think when I first looked up Minto's school status, I just looked at whether or not it was something confirmed by the show. I didn't think there would be an actual cultural thing in Japan about it. I'll edit this as soon as I can. On the one hand, I'd be willing to cut the author a bit of slack on that since it wouldn't be something overly obvious unlike the uniform thing which wouldn't make sense, but given how far into the fic I am by this point, I don't think I want to be kind? :''D But I will still add that in, thanks!
Again I just... did the Suethor watch only the first ten episodes then skipped to the end? How can you ignore Mint's character development so blatantly?!
Fuck it, headcanon time. The Suethor clearly saw Mint a threat too because she saw all the yuri signs between Ichigo and Mint. That's what all the hating on her is about. (Although personally, I was more of a Ichigo and Lettuce yuri shipper myself)Unfortunately, it looks like author has missed the point of

It's sad that Mint gets all this unreasonable hate for people missing the point of her character. She's always gotten a lot of unreasonable hate.
The only thing would be, whether the author knows this or not, Minto/Zakuro tends to be more popular of a Yuri ship and a Minto ship in general. But I do think Minto/Ichigo is up there as well.I remember that the Mint haters generally didn't realise Mint/Zakuro was a very popular yuri ship for Mint. Don't know if it's still the same now. But I think it's largely because Zakuro is always simplified as
