I was looking down at my fingers today, and I remembered an article I had read a long time ago in "Psychology Today" about index to ring finger ratio affecting the way your brain develops.  The link is here:  http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/pto-20050614-000004.html

The article talks about how bio-females generally have ring and index fingers ( Read more... )

I have to agree with you. It seems kind of silly, and anyway, there are always exceptions even if it were true.

For the record, one of my ring fingers is slightly shorter while the other is slightly longer, so that doesn't help.

I know it's not perfect or anything, and it's not a theory I'll really believe in until they get way more evidence behind it, but I was just wondering whether it would even actually apply to this. Thanks anyway.

well, i dont have a ruler, but i know my ring fingers are a good 8mm longer...and i had read that before. my ring fingers are a lot longer, but that doesnt surprise me. i was exposed to so much t, that it seems like my body didnt know which way to go, and made a decision last minute because my parts didnt develope completely. so yea...

My ring fingers are both longer than my index fingers. And it is fairly strong scientific evidence that it correlates with testosterone exposure in the womb.

I don't really buy this stuff, but what the hell. Both ring fingers are longer by a little more than 1/4".

I definitely think it needs more evidence, since even they said it's unclear whether it really means anything, and it's not the be-all end-all factor of personality traits, but it seems kind of interesting.

Do they offer any theories on how this exposure happened?

Nope, not that I remember. I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be our fetal bodies producing it, or whether it's the mother's body, since women produce small amounts of testosterone too. Your guess is as good as mine.
