Today Dad put the window air conditioner unit in at the living room of Rather Manor. It's strange how just a while ago we had horrible cold weather, and suddenly the switch turned to summer without any preambles. Just chaotic, it's been.

One thing to be grateful for today...when Ted Kennedy's funeral was going on in Washington, the TV networks had the restraint not to pre-empt the scheduled programming all day, like they did for other public figures' funerals in the past.
