My money told me it wanted to get our of the house, so I went to Big Lots a little while ago. The damage:

* DVDs of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Caddyshack (talk about worlds apart!)
* a hardcover copy of William Gibson's novel Spook Country.

For just under $10.

Other DVDs I contemplated but decided not to buy at the moment included:

I'm going to Tech School, in Aviation Maintenance. I've already got a degree in Aviation Management, and as part of that, a pilot's license, but both of them have been absolutely worthless in the nearly twenty years since graduation.
