My money told me it wanted to get our of the house, so I went to Big Lots a little while ago. The damage:
* DVDs of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Caddyshack (talk about worlds apart!)
* a hardcover copy of William Gibson's novel Spook Country.
For just under $10.
Other DVDs I contemplated but decided not to buy at the moment included:
Rumble in the Bronx
Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow
Spies Like Us
--Mainly because the store had multiple copies of them and I felt reasonably sure they wouldn't be gone the next time I was there. Of course, if you think that I'm in error for that, let me know.
I know I should be buying more practical stuff, like new clothes for school, but somehow the urgency isn't there. Dunno why that is.
