The catalog from AutomationDirect.com is The Letter Bomb. The actual paper portion is bigger than a phone directory for Manhattan, and it also comes with a digital duplicate on DVD.

So why did I request one? They carry electronics components. A lot of which would go into the F.L.I.G.H.T.S.I.M. build if I could swing it.

Universal Studios is celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year by having a Sweepstakes on Facebook. The prize is FREE DVDs and Blu-Ray disks from their catalog, which is considerable. Today I bought the first DVD of the remastered 1960s Japanese sci-fi/horror/superhero TV series ULTRAMAN, which I first encountered around 1978 when I was living in Pittsburgh and watching just about anything that the independent stations showed. My money told me it wanted to get our of the house, so I went to Big Lots a little while ago. The damage:

* DVDs of 2001: A Space Odyssey and Caddyshack (talk about worlds apart!)
* a hardcover copy of William Gibson's novel Spook Country.

For just under $10.
