(No, it's not a misspelling. I meant to type up this entry yesterday.)

OK, so Saturday I had a kind of a rough time b/c I've been dealing w/ some inner emotional work and it's not always easy to do. Nomad helped me through a lot of it by talking to me for a few hours. (Thanks for being so awesome, Nomad!) Then I had a fun evening w/ Eaglewhisper. ( ( Read more... )

There's a name for it (synkenesia, maybe?). Sometimes people hear colors or taste sounds. Either a few of your neurons misfired (completely normal; doesn't mean you have a tumor or something) or you just have a very vivid sense of analogies.

Thanks! You reminded me that I had heard of this before. I remember thinking it would be so cool to have this experience. I wonder if because I'm so suggestible I somehow learned it just by imagining what it would be like? I don't know but it's kind of cool.

Are you sure it's not a tumor? LOL

Alan Moore has a comic called "Top 10" which you can get in Graphic Novel format. It's basically the 10th police precinct on a world populated by superheroes...so if you're superfast, you might be a delivery boy. If you're supersmart, you might be an accountant.

"Top 10" is the nickname for the 10th precinct, and one of the women on the investigative team is named Synaesthesia. She totally makes sense in a metaphoric way. (She may meet you and say she likes you because you feel like cinnamon, or whatever) and she solves a major case for them in that way.

It's a great comic.
