Mom is home! She's still in pain, and she doesn't like the fact that her bed doesn't adjust like the one at the hospital does, but she is home. I don't know of any restrictions or limitations she has yet, but I'll ask her in the morning ( Read more... )

With the tube gone, she found out today that she may come home as early as tomorrow night. If not then, then Saturday is probably when she'll be home. Today, she ate some chicken broth and something else... probably Jell-o or something. We will see how that settles in her stomach. YAY! She has the stomach tube removed! I'm just about to go up there to see her, but she called and said that (lol this just sounds so funny, but it's so crucial to the recovery) she has farted a couple times and almost had to poop, and with that, the tube can be safely removed ( Read more... )

Not much of an update really, but she's doing fine. Still in pain of course, but she's getting through it. She's walking around more often and can talk for longer periods of time without needing to stop and sponge swab her mouth. I think she's just getting more hydrated finally. Still no food or drink yet, but she's been upgraded to ice chips. ( Read more... )

For this pay period (20th to the 3rd), I didn't work 4 of those days. Gross. I think for the next pay period, it'll be the same way... I'm working too much. It's not full time in the amount of hours, but I'm there almost everyday of the week for at least 4 hours a day (most days are 6 at least). The only good coming out of this is money. Last night was a graduation party for 07. Man, the freshman when I graduated are now going to be seniors. Holy hell. Anyway, I saw lots of people...
