Balance does not equate to equilibrium. When people tell me that, I point out I am part of the Universe. Which makes me part of the balance, not THE balance.
Hope I helped.
I saw you had a great time up in NYC. I glad for you.
You are so very blessed.bittercatFebruary 11 2009, 16:02:08 UTC
You are so very blessed to be doing work about which you are passionate. So very blessed.
So many people (myself included) are not able to pursue the work they truly want to be doing. There are a lot of reasons for this. Some are reasons, some are excuses, but the point is that you are in a lucky place. Embrace it.
..and good luck getting to where you want to be. DO leave room in your life for other things. I see that you are. That's important.
Fritter, you love your job and you have an awesome one. basically - you sell reading - which is cool because you love to read. sometimes being ocd about your job is a good thing, esp in a rough economy.
It's not a bad thing to be excited about work, but you can be a bit rough-edged about it. I don't think it's about balancing life and work; right now, your life and work are one. The balance I worry about is your stress levels - not least because when you are stressed and frazzled it directly affects not only yourself, but everyone around you. :)
