Found Story book stamps at the Post Office today. There were 8 designs of popular children's book characters...Wilbur from Charlotte's Web, Fox in Sox from Dr. Seuss, Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar and more. Beautiful weather has kept me outdoors, and away from the computer. I've also made rice krispie treats without marshmallow, and perfected a honey mustard dressing. Kids keeping me busy too. Book faire, illnesses (two of four have colds), concerts and trips...on and on and on...

Planted 12 lillies of the valley, three yellow lilacs, two dogwood trees and a partridge in a pear tree...hahaha. Also planted some geraniums, daisies, and a few fuschias. All pink and/or yellow ( Read more... )

Well, the school board passed the initiative, with only one dissenting vote, to remove the library science curriculum from 3rd through 5th grades next year. How sad. Glad my daughter goes to middle school next year.

Has anyone ever experimented or cooked with honey? I am trying to make homemade rice crisp treats, without the luxury of marshmallow, as they contain corn. Would I need to bake them in order for the honey to harden? Or if just left out in the air would it harden on its own? While you reply, I'll search the web for more answers.
