Why I like them: Because she's the wisest person in Camelot by a long shot; because she understands what it is to love, and to love unconditionally; because she is not afraid to speak her mind; because she serves out of love; because she can always see the big picture and consistently puts others ahead of herself. Basically, she is everything a Queen should be, and everything I aspire to be.
Why I don’t: uh...well, there was that one time she made Arthur sad in Lancelot & Guinevere, but given the extreme amount of times he has made her sad, we'll call it a wash. Nope, no reasons not to like Guinevere.
Favorite episode: Not sure, she's so consistently awesome, but at this moment, I would say The Castle of Fyrien, which is full of wonderful personal stuff for her, both with the introduction of Elyan and her relationship with Arthur.
Favorite scene: Telling off the Council in the season four opener (or was it the second episode?). It showed all the qualities that are going to make her a great queen: her wisdom, her maturity, her humility ( ... )

Got too long, sorry, I have many thoughts on the Once and Future Queen. :D

Unpopular opinion: I understood why Gwen blamed herself for the breakup with Arthur in 4x09, and why she never held how he reacted against him. As viewers, we know she was under a spell. Arthur doesn't, and neither does she. She loves Arthur with all her heart, and the fact that she could betray him for what in her mind was simple lust feels like not only a betrayal of him but of the person she believes herself to be. Not to mention, she betrayed not only her lover, but her sovereign. She understands what she did is treason, and he was within his rights--actually merciful--to banish her.

I liked their reunion exactly how it played out. I believe she was overwhelmed with gratitude that he could forgive what she had done, and that allowed her to forgive herself.

A wish: Guinevere ruling Camelot in Arthur's absence and doing a smashing job of it. Guinevere's throne next to Arthur's in the Council room, and her advice being accepted as the wisdom it surely will ( ... )

Why I like them: He's an artist. He bakes. He's funny. He loves devotedly. Basically, if he were fifteen years older, he'd be my perfect man.

Why I don’t: He shut Katniss out for months over her rejection at the end of THG; even though he was understandably hurt, it doesn't gel with his usual understanding of her needs, and her need to survive. Hijacked!Peeta is a douche, but I tend to give him a pass on that, given his Extreme Torture.

Favorite episode: ...uh, this doesn't really work, since it's a book?

Favorite scene: I will never get tired of him surviving to disguising himself as a riverbank. And the conversation that follows. Brilliant. Also, him being calm, while almost dead, in order to calm Katniss down is wonderful.

Favorite line: His funniest is, “Frosting. The final defense of the dying.” But my favorite, the one that sums up the books, Peeta's character, and the complete tragedy of it all is the much quoted, “I keep wishing I could think of a way to... to show the Capitol they don't own me. That I'm more than just a ( ... )

Why I like them: She is passionate about her beliefs, and her beliefs include the rights of women, and of all people. She is not content to simply speak about the things she believes; she knows that faith leads to action. So she acts. She cares about people, and she loves her family, no matter how different she might think than they do.

Why I don’t: She lets herself be bullied and manipulated into a marriage I am far from believing she wanted just because it offered her an escape.

Favorite episode: Can't really say episode, since they divide differently in States/U.K, but my favorite plotline of hers was helping Gwen find a job. It showed all of her best traits, how conviction led to action, and how she loathed hypocricy.

Favorite scene: The one where the staff teaches her to bake a cake, while her mother watches. Incidentally, my favorite scene in the whole second series.

Favorite line: “Sometimes, it feels as if all the men I have ever danced with are dead. I just feel so useless, wasting my life while they sacrifice theirs.”

my heart really belonged to the unconventional pairing of Sybil/Matthew.

It's like we have one brain. :)

Why I like them: Strong, silent type. Good with his hands. Smart and observant. And did I mention? So. Damn. Pretty.

Why I don’t: He deserted his gang to RAISE PIGEONS in the desert. I can only make this okay by telling myself that he and/or Djaq had some undisclosed prophetic ability and knew how much series three was going to suck in advance.

Favorite episode: I imagine the go-to reaction would be to put “The Angel of Death,” as it's the only Will-centric episode in the whole series, and he does have some awesome moments in it, what with the wall-climbing, and flipping cape and neck!porn. But there's also just all the bad life decisions and sad dad dying moments. So, instead, I choose “The Taxman Cometh,” because I adore Will saving them all by making a key from the inside of the cell.

Favorite scene: Seeing Djaq bathe and getting a faceplant for his trouble is always hilarious. :D

Favorite line: See, here's the tough part of loving a character who rarely says anything. There are some really quotable lines from that show, but ( ... )

He deserted his gang to RAISE PIGEONS in the desert.

LOL. There is that. But it doesn't surprise me that Will picked Djaq over England. I mean, he's like 20 years old and in love. I have to think all his great principles flew out the window the second Djaq kissed him. :)
