I have a backpack with a built-in cold section, specially built for carrying medicine home from the hospital. Want to borrow it?

I know nothing I can say will make this any better, but adults suffer no real ill-effects if they have a thyroidectomy. Which of course, you already know. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I'm really happy that any possible problems for you are being adressed right now, rather than later.

I have medication that needs to be transported cold, as does Gail.

In my case, the company that makes the medicine gave me a little cold pack thingy to transport the meds in. I've never actually used it, although flying to Perth next week will be my first time.

So yeah - Gail has much more experience than I do.

hugs

I got quite used to transporting refrigerated drugs for short periods of time while I was doing the IVF. It's the thought of managing them for 2 weeks travelling through the tropics when we go on our cruise this coming summer - apparently they don't typically provide a fridge in your room for size reasons. I will be talking to the Travel Agent about it tomorrow.
