I'm a new owner (woohoo!) and am looking for friends on Xbox live. The one-month trial has started, and I'm not sure I'm going to keep Live or not, so I'm looking to see if I get a good gaming experience with folks I know

Call of Duty 4, all the way... I have it for PC, and numerous friends play it on XBox Live constantly.

Halo 3 is almost exclusively good for Multiplayer.

Mass Effect is a great single person game. Fallout 3 is even better.

XBox Live is well worth it for the bonus content/xbox live arcade, IMO.

Mass Effect started out looking very cool. It's really too bad that I suck so bad at it that I died right at the area where you find that the device is missing...

I sent you a friend request! I wasn't able to find online games for Halo 3 even tho it said population of like 100,000...

Mass Effect is on the list of games to try, so is Fallout 3.

I'll tell you, the original Xbox live gaming experience sucked for me mostly cuz of games that were aborted in the middle or games that weren't played as free-for-all when they were supposed to be. If it's free-for-all, don't gang up on the new guy. Jerks. ;-)

if you liked Fable, i can highly recommend Fable 2. If you haven't played Fable, but like rpgs, i still highly recommend Fable 2. If you didn't like Fable... what's wrong with you??? :)

Yeah, the 360 rocks! I played a few hours this weekend... :-o

I have not played Fable - I do like RPGs, but usually not so much on the console or PC systems. I'm more of an analog RPG-er. =)

But I'll check it out! Thanks for the suggestion!

Xbox Live is also worth it for the Netflix streaming if you have a Netflix subscription already. It's great!
