It's been at least two weeks since I said I was finally leaving Missouri, and since then...I've still been stuck in the State. Why, you ask? Couple of things. Also, a top unit may raise your energy bills in the current place, but have you checked the roof and windows at the new place? They make a world of difference in the power bills. Our apartment is a top unit, but is way more efficient than other places bc of the white roof and energy efficient windows we put in. And alas, Canada sounds great, but the cold winters are something I'm trying to stay away from because I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate the cold. That's why I'm choosing the desert...very hot as hell but very dry in the summer. Here in the midwest, we get seasons...hot and humid as hell in the summer (and humidity I can't stand, either), and cold as hell in the winter (with snow, and I hate snow).
