Bullets tend to cut through you, like a knife through butter, but the funny thing was that they didn’t hurt as much as Angell thought they would.

Michael didn’t do trick-or-treating, and apparently neither did the kids in her building, but that didn’t stop her from buying the giant bag of candy just in case.

There isn’t enough chocolate in the world to get her through a day sometimes.

Angell stared at the acronyms and netspeak littered through the e-mail in front of her for a long minute before turning to Adam with a baffled look: “And you can actually read this?”

All she could hope for was that she had no regrets.

Jess really wasn't sure what she was doing when it came to Michael anymore. It wasn't a matter of right or wrong, it was just a matter of getting the feeling that she didn't fit.
