After his conversation with Buffy and a coincidental conversation with a stranger it didn't take him long to get his hands on what he liked to call the company car. Sure, it was his - until someone else needed it. But, right now, they didn't and even if someone needed a ride, Giles had one as well and this was more important

Tabby walked over towards the front door, head bobbing to the music blaring from her head phones, with air drums well included.
She stops before she nearly runs into the poor man and grins at him, pulling one head phone out so she doesn't have to ask him to scream his name at her.
"Tabby Smith and you arree?"

"Oh uh, hi," he replied, not expecting the door to be opened so quickly. "Xander - is my name and I'm -" He began to introduce himself but was distracted by the house - mansion? - itself and couldn't help but step by her completely to get a better look. Turning around, he spit out a few more words. "Buffy. I'm here for Buffy. Maybe with Buffy. But - she's a friend. Buffy is."

"Oh! The nice blonde chick that looks like she could kill us with a bowl of Wheaties in hand? Yeah she's here!"

"Um," he replies, not holding back a smile. "Yeah. That's her. And she could probably kill you with two." He smirked. "Just saying. Girl's not only resilient but resourceful."

"Buenas tardes." Came a reply from behind him and at the bottom of the stairs stood a rather sickly looking man with dark eyes.

He managed a weak smile up at the man at the door, hands in his trench coat pockets.

"May I help you with something?"

He didn't mean to jump. He meant to - do something more suave. But, he didn't see the guy on the stairs! Turning around, he managed a smile before shaking his head.

"Not um - hi," he replied, holding his hand out. "I'm Xander. Buenos -- buenos," he added. "And, I think I'm good right now, just...exploring."

Nick gives him a good nature, while slightly drained, smile. He gives a friendly laugh and taking the others hand and shaking it.

"I am Nick Florence. I have been here for only a small while, though I'd be happy to help you in anyway I can." he assured, gesturing after letting go of his hand. His accent was Spaniard and it was obvious to tell that he was - still working on that English.

"Thank you," he replies, mutually letting that hand go. "Xander Harris, I just arrived. Um, if you know Buffy, I'm her best friend. I'm kind of looking for her, half-looking for an empty room," he admits.

Penny was device free at the moment. She'd actually been wandering the house, cellphone in hand as she waited for her dad to call. He called often. And about the same time as he did call, someone knocked on the door.

"Hey, dad. Gimme a sec?" Penny said as she pulled the front door open. She held her cellphone to her shoulder and looked at the guy at the door.

"Hi, can I help you?"

"Oh, hi," he replied, having already spoken to two people, he was pretty used to this whole routine. "Do you either know where Buffy is staying or where there's an empty room?" he asked.

New person to the house. Okay. She could manage this. She told her dad quickly that she'd call him back and put her phone back in her pocket, stepping back with a slight limp as she let the guy in.

"Buffy, I don't know where she is. We do have a spare room. I'll show you to it." She held her hand out, smiling slightly. "Penny Stark. Who are you?"

"Oh, I didn't mean to interrupt," he said. "I can find someone else. Apparently, there are lots of someone else's." But, he shook her hand, anyway, despite his rudeness. "I'm Xander - but I am sorry I interrupted."
