I'm trying to sort through the 100+ emails that came in while I was out of the office for 6 days. Unfortunately, an number of them are requests from users who need modules from the database...and I can't do anything else in the database while I'm checking them out...and it takes 5 or 6 minutes to check each one out...so I'm reduced to fooling ( Read more... )

The Rake is a really funny smartass magazine. It used to be a free local paper but a couple of months ago, they switched to being online-only instead of printed. There are obviously a lot of local references that people outside the Twin Cities won't get, but there's still a lot of good stuff to read. My jaw dropped at a couple of the questions that they asked him.

Actually not all of the stuff is smartass. There are some really good serious articles and opinion pieces, too.

I should add...Michele Bachmann is a local Republican who really is batshit crazy. Do you remember last year, after Bush's state of the union address, he was walking through a crowd of legislators and one of them grabbed hold of him and WOULD NOT LET GO and clutched his arm like a 17-year-old groupie grabs ahold of Jon Bon Jovi? That was Michele Bachmann. She also tells reporters things like, of COURSE the husband rules the home and the wife obeys all his directives - the Bible tells us that's the best way to live! Ugh.
