Memory 003: (Backdated to after the Thanksgiving nuclear event)

(When Tara woke up after her first death, her initial reaction was to throw her quilt covers off and gasp for air. Dying from radiation poisoning is horrible, and the slow death had definitely hit her hard. Things get even more confusing for her when she notices that she's back in her bed, totally healthy and alive. She scrambles for the curtains;

[In between classes, Tara gets a tap on her shoulder. Ruri looks slightly different from before but nods.]

You don't look all right. Do you want to skip the next class?

Huh?

(She rubs her arm, unsure. She's never been the type to skip class...her dad would be disappointed in her.)

I don't know...I've never skipped class before.

I was made the guidance counselor here. Its not skipping class if you are given an appointment.

(She hesitates, but Ruri does have a point. And she really needs to talk about this.)

[Here's Yuna, trudging along looking similarly glum and also holding a picture in her hands. As she passes by Tara, she notices the other girl's expression and stops.]

Hey. Town send you back a depressing picture too?

(She nods at Yuna's question.)

Yeah. I mean, it's not a bad picture, it's just...it's a picture of my dad, and I miss him a lot.

[Yuna nods sympathetically.]

Yeah, I know what you mean. I guess the town decided it wasn't making the holidays depressing enough, huh?

*Sniper is in front of the house with his regain. Yes that beat up Land Rover that's now parked in the driveway. He's almost grinning as he runs the hose over it, a bucket of soapy water standing by to wash it off.

It showed up exactly how he left it. With the blood of a spy spread all over the side of it. He glances over at his not!daughter with the box.*

(She's too down to even comment on the blood. But she does glance up at his direction when he asks her that question.)

*He turns off the hose and looks over at her.*

(She looks back at the picture glumly.)

[ Guess who's going out of his way to check up on her? And by out of the way, I mean totally entering a class that isn't actually his because seriously who cares?

(She turns her face away from him to hide the fear in her eyes. But her body still shakes at the memory of vomiting blood and wasting away to a high fever.)

[Kid isn't oblivious, and he noticed Tara's mood almost immediately. At a break between classes, he approaches her, a little bit nervous what is being sociable.]

Miss Tara? Are you doing all right?

(She's still in a gloomy mood, unfortunately. But for Kid, she tries to smile for him.)

Heh, I'm ok, don't worry.

[This is his not convinced face. He tries not to be poking about looking at people's souls, but it's second nature to him and he can tell she's far more bothered than she wants to admit.]
