well i'm sure if you've ever read anything i've ever commented about CSI, i was crying last night at the end

Grissom really seemed ungrissom like. I gues sit was more vulnerable and in an intimate situation than I've ever seen him. It's kind of a different direction for the show and i'm not sure I like it. It won't matter much more anyway.

Riley and Greg... OMG BEST EVER!!!
I've missed Greg being Greg for the past couple of season but last night, he was BACK! I cheered. He and Riley are kind of cute! I wonder if the powers that be are going to be willing ot pursue that. I enjoy Riley, she brings a different demension to the show. More fresh.

I enjoyed Nick telling them to cut it out. He wasn't mean about it b/c I'm sure he remembers how he was when he was younger.

I think last year, before the writer's strike screwed things up, Eric Szmanda said he'd been asking the writers and producers to let Greg have a love interest. I wouldn't be overly surprised if that happens with Riley. The writers are probably testing things out, seeing how they play off each other and whether they have any chemistry to add something to the show.

As for Grissom -- you're right, he's distinctly unGrissom-like, but that's on purpose, showing how far he's really burned out.

I, for one, will continue to watch the Nick & Jim show!

I told shadowhuntress the other day that I would be ALL FOR a spin-off featuring Jim and Nick's crazy cop adventures. But at this rate, the show itself will give me that without having to spin off.

(Also, I know you're working on Jim/Nick for me)

I also have the personal theory that Gil would find it difficult opening up to either Catherine or Nick about his grief precisely because he knows they're grieving and struggling also.

I can see that with Catherine, but right now Gil really isn't seeing Nick, and hasn't for a long time. Plus, I think deep down inside Gil is resentful that Nick has come back time after time and Sara hasn't. I also think that, deep down inside, Gil is waiting for Nick to crack because of the kidnapping and his other traumas.
