Oooh. I love the idea of almond milk. How much of the almond taste transferred to the fish?

The almond flavor was really subtle. It was there, but barely noticeable.

I'm sorry, I guess I was unclear. This dish came out of my decision to abandon the taco idea. The braised fish just wasn't the right texture for tacos, so I served it over brown rice instead...

Ah ... I see. :) I missed that part of the sentence.

If you do decide to attempt the fish tacos in the future, consider laying your fish fillets in the bottom of a baking dish and then pouring a half cup or so of your favourite salsa over them. Bake at 350 F for 10-12 min or until the fish flakes easily and serve inside corn tortillas with sliced avocados etc.
