I'm a late bloomer when it comes to cooking and I've only really gotten into it the past couple of years so you'll have to forgive me when I say that this is my very first risotto:

Hah, what a great use for leftover greens. I'll admit that I tend to leave the last of the lettuce in the fridge for far too long; this would be a good way to use them up.

I'm like that, too. And usually it's too late to consume them. We always end up throwing a lot of salad greens. :/

It's okay, I've been cooking for a few years and I still have yet to make a risotto, but it's on my to-do list.

Oh yeah, same here. I have a ridiculous amount of recipes bookmarked on firefox from just lj. it's sad, really.
