p.s. i hope your fish was of good quality because that "dipping sauce" has been in contact with the raw fish!

I don't think he used the used marinade, just the stuff leftover(but not on raw fish) from when he made it. At least I hope that's what he means.

And I reread that, and think nope, it was raw fish juice.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. As good as the meal looks, I would most definitely not call a used fish marinade good eats.

As tasty as the fish itself looks, I've got to say, everything else on that plate frightens me.

I truly love peas. Really, lots. Canning is quite possibly the nastiest thing that could happen to my beloved little pearls of green tasty.

Also, raw fish marinade as a dipping sauce? From Swordfish?
Parasites + mercury =/= tasty.

We're on a budget in my house, and end up eating a lot of frozen vegetables, but I could never bring myself to eat canned. Not only do they not taste as good or have the same consistency, but they are usually less nutritious as well. Some of the foods I thought I despised as a child were things I had always had canned - it made a huge difference.

I do like canned peas, as well as frozen and fresh. I use a 20-sided die to pick my groceries, and it happened to roll up a canned vegetable, then the sweet peas. It could as easily been produce or frozen, then corn or peas or whatever. I get the most variety that way, and discover items that I ordinarily wouldn't have considered. It doesn't matter to me how appetizing something is to other people if I like it.
