Singapore Rice Noodles: Noodles+Curry+Wok=Delicious

Singapore Rice Noodles, though named such on many Chinese-American restaurant menus, didn't really come from Singapore. In fact, no one is really sure exactly which restaurant started making them, but the recipe itself is Cantonese in origin. Very interested to try this. I was also happy to see that you posted a char sui recipe some time ago. As soon as it's cool enough to turn on the oven, I'm going to make some!

I am actually making some char siu today, so I can make roast pork noodle soup. A noodle shop favorite that my husband begs for periodically.

I'll post a recipe for that, too, as soon as I write it up.

I had found some rice vermicelli at my fav Chinese grocery store, the package was large, but inside were 10 ramen noodle size separate bundles of rice vermicelli. So it was easy for me to make this for my solo dinner. I didn't have sausage or pork, so used shrimp instead. I will be cooking this again. Thanks

I wish they had that brand here at my Asian market! That would be easier to deal with for certain.

I like it with shrimp, myself. But my husband and daughter tend to like shrimp by itself, not in things, so we do ours with pork.

I want to make a vegetarian/vegan version sometime, too.
