I started with this fairly traditional recipe for Seven Layer Bars, and modified thusly:
  • Replaced graham cracker crumbs with one ready-made pie crust, broken up; this was only because the store was out of graham crackers. Left me just a little short on crust, and I had to resist the fleeting urge to break out the panko... ;-)
  • Used chopped pecans in ( Read more... )

graham crackers, brown sugar, pecans, bars, easy, butter, chocolate, nuts

I never could understand why these are called seven layer bars when there aren't seven layers.
In any case... those look and sound delish!

Nice. I like the the regular recipe though because it's basically sugary cholesterol death in bar form. Mmmm, heart cloggingly good...
