I wandered into the used bookstore this evening, and came out with 6 cds. One was a total gamble, especially since I couldn't even tell what language it's in. The plain cover shows an old black and white photo of a man playing accordion, and the Scandinavian-looking words included the dates 1944-1948. Surprise Swedish accordian-- now that's amusing. Well, OK, I know the accordian part wasn't a surprise, given the cover picture. But still...

Sounds like a fun one.

Blossom Dearie still sings every week in NYC! However, it is VERY expensive to go and see her (the price kept me away).
