I've been in waterskimmer mode this week, skating over the surface and not really able to get deep. That's okay, though I still need to learn to rest before I put myself so firmly into this state

We went through Solvang in July. Had a great steak at the Hitching Post the night before, too.

If I'm ever there I want to eat there! I found most of the food in Solvang... unimpressive, and in some cases hideous. But there was a good New American place and I liked the place with the ribs and giant taxidermied bears.

It's an Ars Magica wizard based on fairy tale princesses, with the animal empathy and enchanting song traits... that, on Brad... would be unconvincing. So he's saving her for a table character, hee. (The idea is to see how long it takes people to catch on that she's a fairy tale princess with a wicked Tytalus stepmother.)
