That's what work has been lately - absolutely flat out.  Last year I built up about 25 hrs of accrued leave between mid-May and the end of November.  Under the boss' orders, I used it all up before the end of the year.  Since I went back to work after the Christmas/New Year break (which was only two months ago), I've built up 32.5 hrs of accrued ( Read more... )

I've just been reading today's paper.  There was a young man killed outside one of the unofficial cab ranks near the Caxton St precinct on Thursday night, while he was waiting for a cab.  He challenged a group of queue-jumpers on a very busy night when the queues for cabs were long everywhere, so they beat him up and he died when he hit the ground ( Read more... )
