Do expand! What can you get here? Despite having lived over 9 months in Amsterdam, I've yet to find a Dutch Eating Place. (I have found two pancake restaurants in Leiden, but never at a time when I could go peruse them.)
Well, that was what I saw this weekend! What did you see? :)
Lessee...the Eiffel Tower, the Pantheon, and the Notre Dame, . But I didn't bring the camera with, so no pictures.

Ah. Er, heh heh. These are the famous Pennsylvania Dutch, whose name comes from a misapprehension of the word deutsch; their heritage is actually German. ;) The Dutch Eating Place is at Reading Terminal Market, which has many PA Dutch stands open at the end of the week, selling jellies, cheeses, meats, baked goods, etc. etc. To sit down at this place and eat, you can get eggs, pancakes, french toast, oatmeal, hamburgers, grilled cheeses, etc. -- and of course scrapple!

Hey! That's no fun! I took none of these pictures, but Mr. Internet helped me find them. ;)
that was a lovely photo-blog :) looks like you had a great weekend.
mine was pretty quiet, except for a friend's going-away party on saturday, and I don't have any pics b/c I didn't want to schlep my camera(s) along. but there are some decent pics of my trip to the lake district the weekend before on my website!
The Lake District, hm? Were there mountains? I was watching the newest version of Pride & Prejudice (with Kiera Knightley and Matthew MacFadyen), and during Lizzy's trip to the Lake District with her aunt and uncle, they panned over some stunning scenery...but there were more mountains than lakes! That seemed wrong to me. ;)
This weekend -- hmm. I may go see District B13 with Jesse on Friday (the 'plot? what plot? but lots of amazing parkour' movie). Saturday, I'm planning to go berry-picking! The White Dog Foundation/Fair Food stand at Reading Terminal, both of which I'm interested in becoming more involved with, are organizing a trip to a local orchard out...somewhere. So far, none of my friends want to come with me, though. :( Sunday...I'm hoping to hang out at YH, maybe watch more Babylon 5, maybe annoy grumpy_sysadmin in the middle of his server setup, but that may have to be Saturday evening or something, depending on when sylvansafekeepe is around and how annoyed grumpy_sysadmin actually is.
Dunno what District B13 is-- prolly doesn't come out on this side of the pond for a while.
I would definitely go berry-picking with you, if I weren't off to Cornwall for a few days :) sounds like a nice weekend you have lined up. gl getting thru the week!
And awww, about being at work most of the weekend. :-/

Yay! That's exactly the format of comment I hoped to draw in response. :) Thanks for playing along!
So far, I'm interested by Babylon 5 -- I wasn't instantly fascinated as I was with Firefly, but I liked it and I'm looking forward to watching more eps. I'm sure I will become more involved in the story, too. And hey, so far it's better than the disinterest I have in Battlestar Galactica, even after watching half a season!
I just happened to see a mention of Bride & Prejudice the other day, which reminded me that I'd wanted to see it -- and I discovered it was directed by the same lady as Bend It Like Beckham! Now I'd definitely like to see it.

the scenery is stunning. There are quite a few mountains, though we would probably refer to them as large hills ;)

My weekend wasn't terribly exciting. I watched a couple DVDs with my family:
