Oh no now jared thinks he was just a stand in, those other does were being real insensitive towards jared considering that they don't know him or jensen that well and now jared thinks jensen just took him because every other does was fought for not realizing that jensen already told them he wanted jared he was just waiting for jared to go into heat. Oh no poor Jared! Jensen's so caught up in the minutae of life that he doesn't realise how important it is to foster this new relationship he's suddenly been blessed with, and Jared's too unsure to do anything. Jensen you fool, it's not like Jared magically knows that the reason nobody fought over him is because you'd said you wanted him. And now I'm really worried that Jared will start having doubts about his ability to have kids safely due to his mother's history and his late heat and nobody will be there to reassure him :(

yeah. angst possibilities are sort of endless in this fic. just like jared doesn't magically know why no one fought for him, jensen doesn't magically know that jared is upset over not being fought for :(
