Folks, I realize that you tv debate guys are running low on topics for your afternoon debates, what with the only news being how fucked the economy is, but seriously? "Does God exist"? Computer woes - update
Well, in the end it was the power supply, instead of the motherboard. Which is incredibly good, because power supplies are a dime a dozen, while socket 939 motherboards are about as easy to find as Shangri'la. The one snag is that the new power supply I got is a typical stock PSU, and so lacks a couple of cables that the old one (which was a decent ( Read more... ) -

Well, my computer's shot. Yay. Apparently, the pci-e slot is toast, because everytime I put a card in there (tried with two different ones) the computer refuses to even get to POST. To make it even more fun, I'm going to have to order a new motherboard, 'cause there isn't a single shop around here that keeps socket 939 boards in stock anymore. ( Read more... ) -
