If you value your friendship with someone, do not leave their show at intermission, no matter how torturous the experience is. Side lesson... lie to your actor friends. They don't want to hear the truth.

That was THE MOST PAINFUL THEATRE EXPERIENCE EVER! I knew from the moment I sat down and looked at the set. But I didn't really believe it wasn't going to be that bad. It was. I've never left a show at intermission before... and I couldn't wait for intermission this time. There's no more to say. I feel violated.

My day consisted of an excessive amount of frustration with "teachers" taking the same course I am that I am being forced into group work with, a production meeting spent listening to the same arguments/discussions I've heard half a dozen times in my backyard already, and watching The L-Word with Mike, Kevin and Aaron. Jay is apparently getting Theatre 5 for free for 2 weeks because The Fun-Boy and Billy Don Don Show was so good! They were going to start the first weekend in August, but Jay is now convinced to start the second weekend so I can still be in the show. Excellent film. Made me really miss theatre. I want friends like that/ a family like that. A bar where all the theatre people hang out. A theatre where you can go whenever you need to. And a fun, theatrical life.
How did I possibly contemplate giving that up?!
