In other news, I kind of sort of joined an acapella group tonight. We'll see if that lasts, but it's only once a week for an hour, so hopefully I can manage it.

The hoof came off in my hand.
FYI, the inside of a cow's hoof is pale pink and red and the texture is something akin to sashimi. The more you know...

I know I haven't posted in FOREVER, but I've had my hands full with vet school and to top it all off, my computer died a couple weeks ago.
Well, the good news is, Block 1 (anatomy) is OVER and I passed! :D YAY! Such a relief. Block 2 is cell bio and genetics and while it's still hard, it's somewhat easier than Block 1 and so now we all have ( Read more... ) -

After spending the past 6 hours in the library, I just took out 2 library books that aren't due until noon tomorrow. I am far too excited about this. Like, seriously. Is this real life?
I made the move to Ithaca successfully this week. With the help of Joe and my parents and Em I dragged all my belongings up to my brand new, gorgeous, huge room. Em stayed for a few days to help me unpack and get the room set up. Help me be a real adult.
I was thinking it might be time to get myself a rain jacket. I haven't had one since I was a kid. And I may be doing some outdoors activities soon, so I thought maybe I should be an adult and actually be prepared for it.
I don't know anything about rain jackets...does this one look like a good deal? Columbia is a good brand, right? -
How many can YOU name?
I could remember 53 out of the 144 in 20 minutes. I'm sure I could have gotten more if I'd had more time.
But, is it sadder that I could "only" remember 53 or that I actually know more than 1/3 of all the Buffy episode titles?
