My dad called last night; my grandmother is dying. She'll be 92 next month. She's been having these little "sicky spells", and they've been getting worse-more frequent, longer, sicker. new iPad
The Home button on my iPad has been increasingly hinky, then nonfunctional. Mostly it didn't work. Sometimes, you could massage it into compliance, although sometimes it would act like it had been double-clicked instead. Occasionally--very occasionally--it would behave exactly as it was supposed to. Mostly for the surprise value, I think ( Read more... ) -

The folks across the street are building a roof (or possibly a closed-in room; I can't tell yet) over their patio. Did you know that concrete nailers are fired by .22 shells? My neighborhood sounds like the OK Corrall. -

Hubby left yesterday for a trade show in CLeveland. He hadn't been gone 36 hours when I'd~ahem~acquired two new sewing machines. One I'll likely keep as my backup-there are some things you can only do with a free arm, like cuffs--and the other will go to my osmg, who will refurb and sell it ( Read more... ) -
