There's something completely bass-ackwards upside-down fucked up about my life that the most dressing up I do these days is for court.
(Why is it that I feel *more* undressed in stockings and a slip than I do in just my underwear?)
eta: I watch too much Law & Order-how very anti-climactic that was. We were there (lawyer's office + court house) for less than two hours. Upshot: The disorderly conduct was dismissed, the assault stipulated to. (The Juvenile Conference Committee charges are still out there somewhere, but the lawyer thinks they'll be dismissed.) Sentencing will be December 20th; probably 10~ days, plus community service.
The felony will be next week, and won't amount to much. They'll assign a defender, certify the felony for general court, and reschedule everything.
