Miami, Florida

Ryan slammed the door shut and walked straight to his bedroom, pulling his clothes off. He was too tired and angry to make dinner or call for take out. He just dumped his clothes on the floor and slouched down on the bed.

He managed to stay still for three minutes. He got up to pick up his clothes and folded them to the hamper. Ryan sighed and returned to the bed. His thought went back to the same thing once again. Eric had found somebody new.

Ryan wasn’t even sure why it bothered him so much. It was over and he had even had another man after Eric. He tried to focus on the memory of that night and slipped his hand down to his boxers. His mind replayed that one night. Sweaty skin, heavy panting. He didn’t even realise that another pair of brown eyes had replaced Nick’s.
The CSI from Vegas was gone and Eric had taken his place again.

He showed his boxers down his legs and grasped his hard-on. His one night with Nick had been good, but it had been pure sex, nothing more. Ryan brought his other hand to his mouth and sucked his fingers till they were slick from his spit. He reached down to caress his entrance with the wet fingers. Memories came flooding back. He remembered how he and Eric had come back from a night on the town and neither one of them had the patience to wait till they got to the bedroom. He pressed one finger inside.

They had ended up against the wall in the hallway. Ryan increases his pace and stroked his member to the rhythm of the vivid memories. He came whith a quiet whimper. The picture of him and Eric faded.

Ryan took a deep breath and let the lonelyness take over. Mental images were gone and he was laying on the bed alone.

Nick dialled the number and waited. Once again he ended up in Greg’s voice mail.
“I don’t know if you actually listen to your messages, but…. I’m coming to Miami. We need to settle this.” He paused. “I miss you. I screwed up, but want to fix this. Please.” He hung up.

“So the whole Texas emergency was pure BS.” Warrick commented dryly and came into the locker room. “You’re going to see Sanders.”
“Yeah, I’m going to bring him back.”
“Bring him back? Why do you think he wants to come back? He dumped you.”
“He was upset, we’ll get over it.”
“Buddy, I hate to rain on your parade, but I’m gonna have to. He’s got a new life, a new place and a new job. He’s not gonna come back.”

“I told you I got moves” Greg grinned when he and Eric came back from the dance floor and settled to their table. “I haven’t been out for a long time.”
“Don’t they have a club scene in Vegas?”
“It’s kinda hard when you’re working nights. And Nick was…. well….”
“Boring?”
“That wasn’t exactly what I was thinking. He liked to stay home.” Greg let out a small chuckle. “Of course that probably had a lot to do with the fact that he wanted to keep our whole thing secret.”
“For how long?”
“Till the end of time, probably. You know…. When we first started, he was always worried when I went out with my friends, like he didn’t trust me to keep it in my pants. But I never worried about him. He was always so….. stable and I don’t even know what else….. that I never thought he could cheat on me. It never even occurred to me until he told me about it.”

“Well…. Me and Ryan were in some grey area between a break and a break-up, but I thought we would get back together sooner or later.”
“Doesn’t make it any easier to admit it’s all history.” Greg took a deep breath. “Okay, enough serious talk for a while. You wanna lead the conga line?”
“I’m not that Cuban.” Eric grinned. “How bout we work out a good sweat on the floor and then I’ll buy you a drink?”
“As long as you don’t try to get me drunk and take advantage of me.”
“Would I do that?”
“Yep.” Greg smirked. “But I’ll forgive you. Let’s go.”

------------------------------------------

Nick grabbed his bag and walk out of the terminal. He snapped his cell phone on and dialled the number he had dug up before leaving Vegas.

“Hello.”
“Ade Sheldon?”
“Yeah, who’s there?”
“Nick Stokes, I’m a friend of Greg’s-”
“I’ve heard the whole story so cut the crap. What do you want?”
“I’m in Miami, I need Greg’s address.”
“So why are you calling me?”
“You got him his new job, you must know where he lives.”
“I do know, and if he hasn’t told you himself he obviously doesn’t want to see you.”
“Listen-”
“No, you listen. Leave him alone and go back to Vegas. He doesn’t want you.”

------------------------------------------

Eric parked his car in front of Greg’s apartment building.

“Wake up.” He tapped Greg on the shoulder.
“I wasn’t asleep.” Greg opened his eyes. “I had a really good time. Thanks.”
“I had fun too.”

Awkward silence followed.

Then Eric leaned closer to press a little kiss on Greg’s lips.
“Eric….”
“Yeah?”
“This is probably a bad idea, if we’re both on the rebound….” Greg let his voice fade away and waited for a reaction.

Finally Eric answered.
“I’m not on a rebound. You?”
“No.”

This time Greg made the first move. He pulled Eric close for a kiss.
