Mom is in the hospital again. No one was surprised really. The legs were getting worse, she wasn't doing what need to be done and infection set in. Not sure how long she'll be in for. Don't really know what else to say because I'm a jumble of emotions right now and not all of them are pleasant. It's complicated at best and what I wish is that she

I'm so sorry. You need to be prepared -- at this age, that kind of infection can be deadly and if she won't take the right precautions, she won't.

My mom has been chronically ill for many years now. She has suffered from a double hernia for over 20 years plus she's been diabetic for 18 years and has had numerous ulcerations over the last decade. I'm braced every time she goes in the hospital. It's an emotional roller coaster each time this happens because she knows the consequences of her non action could be fatal and she still refuses to take care of herself.
