A last minute shopper had delayed Caleb to the point he was annoyed. Any other evening he wouldn't of minded, but it was Friday night, which meant Stella was waiting for him. They'd lost enough time last weekend when he'd had to meet Snape, then their normal mid-week lunch had been derailed.

He just wanted to be home.

When he finally opened the door to their flat, he found Stella curled up on the couch watching a movie. Caleb found it amusing that Stella was still vaguely fascinated by the tv, particular his movies.

He walked to the couch, a huge grin on his face. Bracing his hands on the back of the sofa, he leaned down and kissed Stella hello before plopping down next to her. "What are we watching?" he asked, putting an arm around her shoulders and pulling her close.

"So love, what shall we do this evening? Sit home and do unspeakable things to on another? Go for a walk? Movie? Anything sound horribly appealing?" he asked, leaning back in his chair and interlacing his fingers behind his head. "I honestly don't care as long as it doesn't involved you being out of arms reach."

"Well..." Stella thought for a few long moments, going over Caleb's ideas in her head. While staying in was always a nice option, they did it quite a lot, and going out somewhere might be nice. She bit her lip as she thought, trying to come up with something fun for them to do this evening.

"We could always go out to my parent's house in Devon and you could learn a few more constellations..." She thought for another minute, a wonderful thought suddenly appearing in her head.

"Oh, I know!" Stella's eyes lit up, and she stood up from the table, leaving the kitchen suddenly. "Give me a second!" She quickly moved to their bedroom, digging in the closet for a moment until she found what she was looking for. Grinning, Stella went back to the kitchen, holding her broomstick out in front of her.

"We are going flying, love!"

Caleb was still adjusting to the idea of going to Stella's parents house when she reppeared holding her broom. His eyes lit up with excitement and he jumped to his feet. "I forgot all about that!" he cried, moving around the table to Stella ( ... )

Caleb looked like a child at Christmas, the way his eyes lit up when he saw the broomstick. Stella couldn't wipe the grin off her face as she watched his reactions. He was babbling, but in this situation it was definitely warranted, and still very adorable ( ... )

The thought of flying around London on a broomstick was oddly appealing. Just to be above the lights and noise and the chaos of the streets below. But Caleb knew that was not only a foolish idea, but one that could get them both in to trouble.

Caleb looked down at his clothes and nodded. "Yeah, I should probably at least put on a jumper or something. I've got a jacket around here somewhere that I'm sure I'll be needing soon enough. Now's as good a time as any to find where I shoved it!"

They took another ten minutes to find warmer clothes and for Caleb to track down his old cloak that he hadn't worn for ages. It took another ten minutes to get out of the flat and Apparated to Hogsmeade. He was nearly bouncing with excitement when they finally reached a spot they could fly from.

"Never done this with two before," Caleb said, a nervous but excited grin on his face. "Try not to dump me on my arse," he added, winking at Stella.
