You know, I think that's the first time I've read a fic covering the whole Dean / Cassie split. So well done for that! As to the first and last parts? Okay, I seriously need to give Dean a hug right now...

"Love Means" is John trying (in his very John-ish way) to help Dean deal with the Cassie breakup (http://ficwriter1966.livejournal.com/22223.html), but yeah, this is the first one I've done (or seen) dealing with the breakup itself. I might do some more, seeing as how people aren't as anti-Cassie as I always thought they'd be.

The line for hugs forms over there on the right...

Hmm, funny how people are less anti-Cassie (and less anti-Jo!) since Ruby and especially Bela...!

It's true!! The lesson should be, don't complain, little fangirls, because they might come up with something WORSE. :O

I wasn't all that fond of Jo and Cassie as portrayed onscreen, but when I tinker with them a bit, they're very useful!

All of them were really sad but the last one is recent so I think it hit me the hardest. Awesome job, I love it!

I didn't realize the landlord evicted Dean and Sam in the first one. I'd really love to read the whole story of that one. These were very nicely done. Dean Winchester is every dark muse's dreamboy.

I'll definitely keep that in mind! I'm thinking Dean's not very big here, maybe 8 or so. So yes, having a landlord come to him and say "Get out"...quite a thing to handle.

Glad you enjoyed these. Thanks for commenting!

I dunno about luring your muse back into the light... kinda enjoying pottering about in the dark at the moment. Of course, maybe it just suits my general mood at the moment. Lol.

Each of these had a suitably ouch factor too them, but I can't quite put my finger on which one was the worst. Not that it's a competition of course...

The first one - rough because Dean is obviously still so young. If Sammy still has a box of toys, were talking 5 or 6. Which makes Dean only 10 or 11. To have to deal with being thrown out of your apartment at that age... :(

The second one - rough because Dean had finally opened his heart to someone else and she simply took it, crushed it, and threw it back at him. :( Thank god for the Hope Verse and Morgan!

The third one - Rough. In every way. He's dying, being torn apart and he just wants to see Sammy, just one more time, but Sammy's not looking at him. Sammy is looking somewhere else.

And this little line - so real!
He’s not swinging, he’s crawling - not that that’s getting him anywhere ( ... )

These came to me while I was lounging in bed being lazy this morning. Last day of my 5-day weekend, sniffle. :( The landlord one came first, and I couldn't let go of the idea of wee!Dean being told by the Big Mean Grownup to get out and get out NOW. Then I thought, well, OK - eviction from home; heart; life. I like the way they came out. Glad you enjoyed them!

These were fantastic. Dark? Definitely. But fantastic, nonetheless. Especially the last one. I just rewatched "Malleus Maleficarum" on Thursday night, and it always depresses me when Sam not only steps away when Dean reaches for him but also leaves Dean on the floor, bleeding, and walks out the door. He means well, but it always hurts to see him leave Dean there alone. Your last drabble left me with that same sad feeling. Wishing Sam could have been there with Dean when he died instead of standing across the room and focused on Lillith.

Excellent drabbles. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, I definitely agree - you can see so clearly that Dean didn't want to die alone, under any circumstance. And it *was* rather cold of Sam (even though he may have been heading out for a smackdown) to walk off and leave Dean bleeding on the floor. Really makes me wonder how dark our Sammy will get in Season 4!

I'm glad you enjoyed this! Thanks for commenting.
