A lightsaber might be pretty, but it was no match for a good blaster at your side. Plus, Luke was a wimp.

I think that someone needs to further explore the Logan/Han--Duncan/Weenie Luke parallels in fic. Because you've kind of hit on a GENIUS CONCEPT.

I don't know what else to say that I haven't already told you. I have so much love for this, but...way to RIP MY STILL-BEATING HEART OUT OF MY CHEST. FOR REAL.

Thank you. I'm so glad it worked, you know this was soooo hard for me to write. And I'm sorry to have... ripped your heart out of your chest, but, not really cause that means it did what I wanted it to do (yes I'm evil).

And yes. Logan as Han and Duncan as Luke is just such an interesting parallel. Especially given Luke's whole attraction to his twin sister.

Wow, that was really, really sad. Poor Logan - just when you think the guy's life can't get anymore fucked up, he ends up being killed. Gah. And the stuff with Veronica and people leaving him, and his father beating him...that hurt to read. But in a good way, of course - this was really good.

Aw, thank you. Yes, like the guy hasn't been through enough hell already, right? But I'm glad it was effective. I had a very difficult time writing this piece, so that was a joy to hear.

Dude. This is so very awesome. Probably my favorite fic of yours, actually. Y handle so many character voices so well, and the flashbacks are seamless. I particularly loved the Dick Sr. flashback. Some other favorite parts:

He’d started investigating on his own, trying to link the pieces together in a way that made some kind of logical sense, but he’d never been one for puzzles - that was Veronica’s specialty - and he couldn’t help longing for a look at the back of the box. Still it was a distraction. Anything was better than sitting in that empty museum of a suite and listening to her fuck his roommate.

Man, that whole section was exquisitely written, and like a punch in the gut. Perfect Logan voice.

“You do realize that picking characters for the way their boobs are drawn might not be the best way of achieving this goal?”

“Whatever, man, she’s a fighter - a wildcat. Aren’t you, baby?”

and

Beauty did you no fucking good if you were dead.

Those line are all fucking brilliant.

Thank you so much. I was definitely playing with more characters than usual, and I've never written Dick or his Dad, so I'm glad you thought they were on voice.

And I can't tell you how thrilled I was you thought the flashbacks worked - I wasn't sure they would, wasn't sure they'd be pertinent enough but I just loved the idea of them so much.

And yay for sensitive non-woobie Logan. It's a delicate line at times (especially since he's just so pretty and gets so hurt) but he's never entirely without edges.
